Rurally located on the Elfsteden route, on the edge of the Leeuwarder forest  and a stonehrow  away from Leeuwarden, we rent out our 6-person holiday home "Het Koetshuis" in Jelsum. We have converted the former coach house into a beautiful holiday home and it is located next to our farm with its own south-facing terrace. Do you want to stay in a quiet area where nature plays the leading role de  then this apartment is for you. We, Ate and Gerda have been owners since 2016 and have made our farm in Jelsum fully sustainable.

A holiday home near the city, but in the middle of nature where you can enjoy cycling, walking, fishing or water sports. We have our own jetty. We also grow organic fruit and vegetables and you will find sheep, mini cows and chickens. Storks and deer are also regular guests of our site. You can cycle to Leeuwarden in 15 minutes, but if you want to cycle part of the Eleven Cities route, you can also reach Bartlehiem in no time via a ferry. Have a bite to eat in Wyns on the way and let the cook transfer you again by ferry? Of course you can also have a barbecue, then you can even get an organic meat package from our neighbors from us. We also have a small-scale motorhome in our yard. It's all possible in Friesland. A day in Ameland? You can reach the ferry in 22 minutes by car, which you transfer in half an hour for a nice day out. And last but not least Friesland is number 3 in the Lonely planet.  Be surprised and come and enjoy with us.
