A yurt near the city of Leeuwarden, but completely free in the middle of nature where you can enjoy cycling, fishing or water sports

 Recently we also have a boat ramp  for small boats. We also grow organic fruit and vegetables. We sell organic beef, cheese and ice cream from our neighbors. Storks and deer are also regular guests with us. You can cycle to Leeuwarden in 15 minutes, but if you want to cycle part of the Eleven Cities route, you can also reach Bartlehiem in no time via a ferry. Have a bite to eat in Wyns on the way and let the cook transfer you again by ferry? Let yourself be surprised and come and enjoy with us.

Want to fully enjoy the peace and simple life? That is possible in our beautiful atmospheric and authentic Mongolian Yurt in Jelsum. You can see the starry sky at night through the glass dome in the roof. The Yurt stands on the grounds of a farm with an unobstructed view of the meadows and the Dokkumer Ee. There are chickens at the yurt, a mini cow and regular deer and swans. It is an Eco-friendly paradise where you really have some time for yourself and each other. The central wood-burning stove provides the necessary warmth and coziness, even at sub-zero temperatures. You can see the starry sky at night through the glass dome in the roof.  Here you can experience what it is like to live self-sufficiently and to relax completely. Towels, bathrobes, bed linen and Eco soap are provided. There is also a private composting toilet and an outdoor shower with running hot water. We will put a basket of wood ready for you. If you wish to use more wood, this can be arranged.
